Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, the incumbent contributes to vehicle procurement for all company branches.
Responsibilities
- Search for available used vehicles through various sources, including online auctions and wholesalers
- Ensure inventory aligns with the company’s needs
- Make informed purchasing decisions by carefully inspecting vehicle condition, reviewing damage reports and accident history, and monitoring the used vehicle resale market
- Negotiate vehicle purchases at market price
- Communicate all relevant information regarding purchased vehicles to the appropriate parties
- Conduct trade-in vehicle evaluations
- Monitor market trends and anticipate purchasing opportunities
Job Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a vehicle buyer
- Knowledge of various car models and pricing trends
- Proficiency in French, both spoken and written
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, decision-making ability, negotiation skills, and organizational skills
